GRAPHIC DESIGNNYU Chinese Student Society
Background
New York University Chinese Student Society (NYU CSS) is the oldest Asian club at NYU. Role
As the graphic designer, I created Facebook, Instagram, and Mailchimp graphics for the club's events. I love how each event challenged me to experiment with different color palettes and typefaces to create eye-catching content for the new or current members.

NYU CSS hosted “Find Your Boba Bae,” a speed dating event for NYU students. The club collaborated with Debutea, a boba shop in New York, to give boba vouchers for participants. I incorporated personalized matching cards in the promotional material because the purpose of the event was for people to find their romantic/platonic match. The design featured a casual, playful style to match the event’s tone, with simple elements and an approachable typeface.

Since the target audience of NYU CSS were Gen Z students, who enjoy Asian culture, the content would often include an appealing theme for the intended audience.
For the new semester, I designed pokemon-inspired cards to introduce each CSS E-Board member. I had a lot of fun deciding what to include on each card.
The "Meet the E-Board Events" graphics were inspired by dim sum stamp cards.
The "Virtual Game Night" posters were influenced by Nintendo DS, which is handheld game console the students were familiar with.
